General Questions

What kind of things can I do with Vidflex™?
Vidflex allows you to host, manage, share, and live stream your online video content with a global audience. Also, you have the opportunity to charge for access to your videos if desired.
Can I use my phone to record and upload videos?
Absolutely, Vidflex makes it simple to record and manage your content no matter what you’re using to film.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes! You can use your own domain or subdomain for your videos. It’s easy to add your own branding for white labeling, too.
What are the benefits over a free video service?
You know the saying ‘nothing in life is ever free?’ That’s the case with so-called ‘free’ video platforms. With Vidflex™, you maintain total ownership over your content, video distribution rights, branding, and access privileges. If you would like to include sponsored ad placements, that’s completely up to you. With any pay-per-view, subscriptions or advertising, you keep 100% of any revenue you generate*.

Will I get free analytics reports?
Of course! Your platform has built-in analytics tracking, which allows you to see how your audience is using your site. Alternatively, if you have the Professional or Enterprise plan, you can set up Google Analytics (GA) for your site.

Live Streaming Questions

What equipment do I need if I want to live stream on the platform?
A video camera, DSLR, or smartphone. Just about anything that can record video works for live streaming. You’ll also need encoding software, which you can get for free!

We can also recommend/provide video capture solutions for your events.

Can viewers watch my live event at a later time?
Definitely. Repurposing your live stream can be an efficient way to build a library and offer content to viewers at their leisure. You can turn your live stream into a video file, which include VODs (Video-on-Demand), trailers, pre-roll videos, VOD series and any video used to replace a live event. When you upload a video file to your platform, the video is automatically transcoded for streaming over the internet.
Do I have enough bandwidth to live stream my event?
Before starting a live stream, run a speed test on fast.com to make sure you have enough bandwidth available to carry out the event. Attempting to live stream a bitrate with insufficient upload bandwidth will result in the live stream buffering or even causing a decode error in the video player.

Added tips:

  • Avoid any unnecessary interruptions and choose not to be on a shared network as that can cause decreased bandwidth, when other devices are accessing the Internet.
  • Use hardwired where possible.
What does your 'Managed Services' package provide?

With our Managed Services package, you get everything you need to deliver and monetize a professional live stream of your event.

Our Vidflex™ team partners with you to take care of all the ‘heavy lifting’ including:

  • We build you a branded video website for your event
  • Pay-per-view set up and payment management
  • Technical setup, testing, and troubleshooting of your live stream and user experience
  • Dedicated support team

Storage & Streaming Questions

How many videos can I upload?
As many as you like! Vidflex™ manages large libraries in a well-organized and easily searchable way so your viewers can quickly find, watch and share videos.
How much can I stream or store with 1GB?
It depends on the quality of your video and a few other things, but 1GB is about an hour of viewing.
What if I go over my storage or streaming limits?
Not to fear! You will be notified in advance if you’re getting close to your streaming and storage limits. If you are getting close, you have a few options: #1 – You can upgrade your plan at any time #2 – Purchase additional streaming/storage at the overage rate indicated in your plan.

Monetization Questions

Does Vidflex™ take a cut of my sales?

If you sign up for our Professional or Vidflex Faith™ package, you keep 100% of the revenue you generate. You’ll pay some processing fees to Stripe when you take payments, but that’s it.

If you sign up for our Managed Events, we parter with you and work on a shared revenue agreement.

What payment processing platform does Vidflex™ support?
Vidflex™ supports Stripe as its sole, trusted payment processing platform for viewers to securely deposit funds from viewers.

Template & Branding Questions

Can I create a customized page?
You bet! You control every aspect of how your page looks, from the color theme to the library format, e.g. sliders, galleries, custom filters, etc.
How do I configure my page?
We provide pre-built page templates and each template is comprised of widgets. Each widget provides a unique way to display content for your viewers. You then have the ability to configure the widgets to customize your content display.

Technology Questions

What are the preferred network recommendations?
Wired is preferred over wireless. We like to try and stay away from using a shared network as that will take away from the upload bandwidth needed for the stream.
Is my current software compatible with Vidflex™?
Absolutely! In industry terms, Vidflex™ is ‘system agnostic’, meaning we support the latest industry standards so that you can get rolling with your current set-up.
